Bonga Banana Art-Ethiopia

At the end of last year the 2nd year students helped me to design lots of beautiful greeting cards for me to take over with me to the young women in Bonga, South West Ethiopia to make as part of their Bonga Banana Art programme.

Below are photos of the students designing the cards, the prototypes for me to take over and also photos of the young women making them.

The cards are made from the leaf of the banana tree and are very beautiful and suit any special occasion. They are available to buy from Miss O Hart and all proceeds go straight back to the young women to help create a sustainable living for them and their families.
