You must select ONE of the following themes and identify this 
chosen theme/ title on all items of work. 
Instructions to candidates

  • YOU MAY develop your idea starting from sources of 2D, 3D, or Support Studies, working from direct observation or imagination or a combination of both.
  • PREPARATORY STUDIES are an integral part of the project and must include your own observed/imagined images. Total dependence on copying/tracing is not accepted.
  • ENSURE THAT your examination number is clearly shown on all work submitted. Label each of the sheets submitted with the appropriate heading using only the gummed labels which will be provided.
  • CLEARLY IDENTIFY your chosen theme by its title on all items of work.
  • ONLY THE required number of A2 sheets (maximum 9 sheets) will be examined. Only one layer of artwork should be placed on each sheet.
  • DO NOT work on the reverse side of any of these sheet
Support Studies for 3D and Option
Support studies can be in visual and written form and should relate to
and reinforce this area of your project. The final selection of these should be
mounted on a sheet of paper of maximum sheet size 59x42cm (A2).
Only one layer of artwork should be placed on each A2 sheet

As you know, the ART PROJECT must be completed by April 30th 2012. After that date no more class time can be given for project work, as administrative work has to be done and the grey envelopes have to be filled out and sealed.

In order that you, the student, can finish on timewithout stress, you are given a series of dates by which time you are advised to have the separate pieces of work finished.

You began your project on OCT 5th 2012

These are your deadlines:

November 25th 2011 –     AREA 1    = Painting or Graphic Design or 3D

January 27th 2012 –        AREA 2   = Option/Craft

April 30th 2012 –             AREA 3   = 3D or Painting or Graphic Design

On these dates you must hand up your

  1. SHEET OF PREPARATION
  2. FINISHED PIECE
  3. and where applicable your SUPPORT STUDIES sheet

Please refer to your project checklist.

Remember you must work on RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT at home also (I.E. you always have homework!!!!).

NOTE: FINISHED PIECES must be produced in class under supervision of the artteacher.
